Al-Marsad newspaper: A press report revealed an increase in the prices of filling gas cylinders with delivery to the home in some cities of the Kingdom.
The report, which was published by Al-Madina newspaper, stated: “Brokers and sellers of gas cylinders raised the price of delivering a cylinder to the home in Jeddah to 30 riyals, compared to 25 riyals in the past, following the increase came following the last adjustment in the prices of filling gas cylinders from 17.25 to 18.85 riyals currently.”
The report indicated: “A number of owners of distribution trucks for homes, that the prices of filling the cylinder and delivering it to the home ranged from 25 to 26 riyals, and currently 30 riyals, with an increase of 5 riyals, according to the newspaper, “Al-Madina.”
He pointed out: “Some consumers said that the company raised gas prices by 1.60 halalas, but what we are seeing now is exploitation by the owners of delivery cars by raising the price by 11 riyals per cylinder, demanding to follow up on these roamers and setting a delivery price for them, while obligating them with safety means.”
And he concluded: “Gas prices in the main cities where there is a gas distributor, such as Jeddah for consumers, recorded 18.85 riyals. 21.5 riyals, and the price of refilling gas in Al-Qunfudah Governorate, 400 km south of Jeddah, was 23 riyals.
