If spring is slowly showing up in the entire northern hemisphere, it is on a freezing January morning that we find Anne-Fleur in this new episode of French Expat le Podcast.
On her way to a small café in the western suburbs of Boston, she goes to find Charlotte, a Frenchwoman who moved to Los Angeles 3 years ago. It was following a really rocky start that she finally settled into her Californian life with her recently-expanded family.
Expecting a child, giving birth to it in a country closed to the world for 20 months, building relationships with her grandparents via Facetime, WhatsApp or Messenger, that’s what Charlotte and other families around the world have experienced since. the start of the pandemic. And that’s the story she tells us today.

– the hike to the Griffith Observatory on the heights of LA Whether you choose the long or short version of the hike, you will be able to enjoy a sublime view of Downtown.
– A walk on the venice canalsour guest’s favorite place, especially because she likes to see all the beautiful and unique houses in the neighborhood.
– the hike of Hollywood Sign. Typical and impressive, the Hollywood sign is a must in the region. Be careful to follow the indicated paths because it is forbidden to arrive from below and the police are watching.
– the hiking trails around the Runyon Canyonwhere you can make a loop with a sublime view for the sunset
– and finally, a walk Santa Monica Piertouristy but not to be missed.
On the other hand, don’t forget to celebrate your hikes by ending the day with a typical lunch or snack. Charlotte advises you to taste the Street Tacos or an ice cream at Salt and Straw on Abbot Kinney.
