This fire party went haywire! Several dozen people suffered burns following walking over glowing coals at a private event on Zurich’s Au peninsula (municipality of Wädenswil).
As the Zurich canton police write, a report was received by the Zurich protection and rescue operations center around 6 p.m. on Tuesday. As a result, the paramedics moved out with a large contingent.
25 people received medical treatment on site, 13 of whom had to be hospitalized with serious injuries.
The police said to the “Zürcher Unterländer” that the people walked one following the other across the coal field, which was a few meters long. The pain from the burns did not occur immediately, but with a delay.
The officials of the Zurich cantonal police, who also went out, secured evidence and began investigating the circumstances of the accident. (man)
