IMSS clinic 34 in La Paz will be giving medical consultations, by appointment, during the weekends according to demand

La Paz, Baja California Sur (BCS). On weekends, medical care will be provided in the right of the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) attached to the Family Medicine Unit (UFM) number 34, which is located in the city of Peaceannounced the delegation in Baja California Sur.
“The benefits of this strategy is to provide medical care to insured patients and women who have prenatal control who, due to work reasons, cannot attend during the week, so there is the option of going to consultation on Saturday by appointment”, declared the assistant coordinator at the first level of care, Israel Gonzalez Cortes.
The objective of the program is to improve the accessibility and timeliness of medical care in the Family Medicine consultation, particularly for insured and pregnant women, using the infrastructure on weekends.
“Workers and pregnant women affiliated with the IMSS and assigned to UFM number 34 and find it difficult to go to medical care to monitor any condition or perform a preventive check-up, can request this alternative consultation with the medical assistant of your office ”, he commented.
Finally, it was detailed that the opening of offices in this program will remain in force according to the demand that is registered during the week, that is, as the spaces of the agenda of the weekend offices are occupied.
“This program will continue until December 31, 2022 according to the demand for care,” concluded the IMSS of Baja California Sur.
