Estrie: discovery of a lifeless woman in a wooded area in Stukely-Sud

The Bureau of Independent Investigations (BEI) has opened an investigation into the circumstances of a police intervention, following the discovery of a lifeless body of a woman in a wooded area, in Stukely-Sud, in Estrie, on Sunday followingnoon. .

It all started when a police officer from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) intercepted a vehicle around 5:25 p.m., while the driver left the scene uttering threatening remarks.

As officers were trying to locate the driver, they received a call from a woman who said someone was trying to get home.

The SQ police went to the woman’s residence and arrested the suspect, who gave information to the police that her body was found in the woods.

The police later located the body of the 67-year-old woman who was indeed found in the woods outside a residence.

The man was taken to a hospital, but there is no fear for his life, according to the BEI, which will try to untangle the skein of this story, the nature of which is visibly nebulous.

Five BEI investigators were in charge of the case, while a parallel investigation was entrusted to the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
