Delicious juice can help people with coronary heart disease

New research shows that drinking one glass of beetroot juice daily can reduce harmful inflammation in people with coronary heart disease.

According to the newspaper, “The Guardian” The Guardian In Britain, coronary heart disease is the most common type of heart disease, the most common cause of heart attacks and the biggest killer of both men and women worldwide.

People with coronary heart disease have low levels of nitric oxide, which the body naturally produces and is vital to good health. In addition to its role in regulating blood pressure, it has important anti-inflammatory effects.

“Inflammation is vital to protecting the body from injury and infection,” said Dr. Asad Shabeer, a clinical research fellow at Queen Mary University of London and the study’s lead author. But persistent inflammation in people with coronary heart disease can worsen arterial variability, making their condition worse and increasing their risk of heart attack.

Dr Speer added that the results of the study, which was funded by the British Heart Foundation, confirmed that ‘a daily glass of beetroot juice might be one way to get inorganic nitrates in the diet to help stop harmful inflammation’.

In the study, the results of which were presented at the British Cardiovascular Society conference in Manchester, the researchers looked at whether daily beet juice rich in inorganic nitrate would increase nitric oxide levels, and whether this would affect inflammation. The study included 114 healthy volunteers, of whom 78 received the typhoid vaccine to temporarily increase inflammation in the blood vessels, while 36 of them received local inflammation.

The volunteers drank regarding 140 mg of beetroot juice every morning for seven days. Half of them drank the juice, which is high in nitrates, and the other half drank nitrate-free juice.

And the results of the analyzes indicated that the group that was given the typhoid vaccine and ate beetroot juice rich in nitrates, showed higher levels of nitric oxide markers in the blood, urine and saliva compared to those who consumed the nitrate-free juice.

It was also shown that the high nitrate juice restores the function of the endothelium, which are the cells that line the inside of all blood vessels, necessary to maintain the normal functioning of blood vessels, and which are affected when suffering from inflammation.

The researchers also found that blisters healed more quickly in the nitrate-rich beetroot juice group, and that the numbers of inflammatory white blood cells in fluid samples taken from blisters decreased following three days.

Fast recovery from inflammation

The researchers believe that increased levels of nitric oxide helped speed up the volunteers’ ability to recover from inflammation by shifting key immune cells from a state that promotes inflammation to a state that is more resistant to inflammation. The researchers suggest that the research findings might be beneficial to the millions of people with coronary heart disease.

Clinical trials are currently being planned to see if a high-nitrate diet produces effects similar to those seen in healthy volunteers, and whether it can reduce the risk of heart attacks.
