Grant becomes the first woman to win European men’s golf

Lynn Grant (Sweden) won the Scandinavian Mix (total prize money of 1 million euros) jointly hosted by DP World Tour (European Tour) and Ladies European Tour (LET). Grant became the first woman to reach the top of the men’s 72-hole European tour. This is the second year of the competition, and 156 people, 78 men and women, participated.

In the final round held at Halmstad Golf Club (par 72) in Sweden on the morning of the 13th (Korea time), Grant took 8 birdies with 8 under par 64 and took the championship with a final total of 24 under par 264. Ties in second place were European stars Henrik Stenson (Sweden) and Mark Warren (Scotland), nine shots behind Grant. The competition is hosted by Stenson and Anika Sorenstam (Sweden).

Grant, 22, started his professional career last year and has won three in Europe, including this one. Grant’s grandfather was Scottish and his father was a pro on the Swedish golf tour.

Immediately following winning the championship, Grant said, “I played in my home country with the support of Swedish fans and family. Grant added, “I hope that women’s golf will be recognized and that more sponsors will pay attention to LET.”
