Meeting with Tin Hag decides the fate of the captaincy of Manchester United!

New Manchester United coach Eric Ten Hag is set to decide the fate of the captaincy following a meeting in July.

Manchester United defender Harry Maguire is scheduled to hold a meeting with the new coach of the “Red Devils” team, Eric Ten Hag, regarding the future of his role as captain of the team.

Maguire struggled to find his best performance from his move to Manchester United from Leicester City in 2019, in a deal worth more than 90 million euros, to be the most expensive defender in the history of football.

Harry Maguire was booed by England fans, when the “Three Lions” faced Ivory Coast last March at Wembley Stadium.

According to the English newspaper, “Mirror”, Ten Hag will speak with Maguire before the Dutch coach begins his reign at Old Trafford.

Maguire’s performance during the last season raised a lot of question marks, and the finger was often pointed at him in the poor performance of the defense line.

Manchester United finished last season in the English Premier League in sixth place, and lost qualification to the next edition of the European Champions League.

Regular voices over the past season called into question Maguire’s leadership abilities, and now Ten Hag wants to settle on the role of international defender.

So far, Maguire has not met with Ten Hag personally, as the Manchester United defender is with the England national team, which is on international break.

It is scheduled to meet Tin Hag with his new team on June 27, to start the pre-season period, but with the international players being given an additional break.
