NNA – Shehim – “Dar Al-Kitab Al-Mubin”, under the patronage of the Mufti of Mount Lebanon Sheikh Muhammad Ali Al-Jozo, represented by the Sharia Judge Muhammad Hani Al-Jozo, held a prize distribution ceremony for the “Awn Al-Hafiz” competition and honoring the memorizers of the Book of God Almighty, in the cultural hall of the Sheikh Abdul Halim Islamic Center in The Castle Mosque in Shehim, in the presence of sheikhs, scholars, dignitaries and a crowd of people.

The ceremony began with verses from the Holy Qur’an by student Taha Mustafa, then was presented by Ms. Latifa Faris Al-Hajj Shehadeh, and a poem inspired by the occasion delivered by the student Ahmed Fares, following which Mona Nazem Al-Hajjar spoke regarding her experience in memorizing the Holy Qur’an within a year, stressing that “will and determination achieve everything.” “.

Then Judge Al-Juzo gave the speech of the Mufti Al-Jozo, and said: “The Qur’an is linked to guidance, it is the constitution of the nation, and if it is found in a person’s heart, lights and virtues are found with him. We are exposed to many attacks on the nation, but they will not reach us, the greatest response to these attempts These councils, so increase them.”

He added: “By the grace of God, mosques are still being built, and the schools of the Qur’an are increasing every day, and this indicates that this nation is the best nation, and it is alive and awake by the Book of God, and by its belonging to the Messenger of God, and it is cultivated every day, at a time there are nations that are being killed and destroyed. But the nation of Islam is still a defending and reviving nation, and it builds new plants and shields every day, including what we see today in these luminous faces that have memorized the Book of God Almighty, so blessed are these works and this product.”

He continued: “Every person and every nation has an identity. The identity to which we belong in this region is Islam. Whosoever willed and refused by my father. We will not accept anyone saying I want to legislate for you, and you must submit. Yes, we will not acquiesce, as our ancestors struggled and did not They acquiesce, in order to preserve our identity in the region, we will not acquiesce. Our identity is above all issues, and above all affiliation and subordination, for the region is the region of Arabism, Islam and religion, and we will preserve this clear identity, and we will sacrifice for it, and we call for adherence to the Qur’an and the love of God and His Messenger.”

And there was a speech by Sheikh Faris Al-Hajj Shehadeh in which he referred to “the importance of this work that this house initiated, which opened its arms to everyone who wants to memorize the Qur’an or some of it.” He said: “We launched “Awn Al-Hafiz” last year, and we note the experience of the two memorizers Mona Nazim Al-Hajjar and Mirna Hajj Shehadeh, who were able within a year to memorize the Noble Qur’an, and we stress the role and encouragement of the Mount Lebanon Fatwa House for this blessed work. He also called for “memorizing the Qur’an to be associated with behavior and action, and for it to be reflected in our images, perceptions and thoughts.”
