Carhaixment Danse organized its annual closing gala at the Glenmor on Saturday evening. A way to restore during a festive moment, all the work done with the regulars (64 in number), throughout the season. Since September, members have been able to progress under the leadership of Mélanie Gambie at the Persivien gymnasium. Dancers are divided into different groups: awakening, initiation, older, pre-teens, teens 1, teens 2 adults African dances and contemporary adults.
Spectators transported into the world of the museum
Saturday’s show was called “Le Cadre” and transported the public into the world of a museum. An enchanting spectacle that delighted the families who came to give these charming actors a standing ovation. A 20th anniversary twice postponed due to the health crisis which brought together some 250 people in the bays of the amphitheater. The performances of each other, the wonderfully chosen costumes and lighting made this evening a memorable event for all.
Goodbye time
The opportunity also for the new president Amandine Hennequin and Professor Mélanie Gambie to thank two members of the outgoing office who have contributed a lot to the association in recent years. Flowers were offered to Corinne Jégou-Braban, and Pascale Cabon as well as to former president Martine Le Pesq.
Members will be able to meet at the next school year with all those who would like to join them for the practice of contemporary, African or modern jazz dance.
