Ikea is recalling “Metallisk” cooktop espresso makers that pose a “burst” hazard when in use.
The affected items include a stainless steel valve (silver gray in color), indicates the reminder sheet relayed this Wednesday by the specialized site Rappel Conso. They were marketed everywhere in France from October 1, 2019.
The batches concerned are between 2040 and 2204. The batch number is engraved below the coffee maker, specifies Rappel Conso. The identification barcode is 70 360 225.
The coffee maker presents a risk of “bursting during use” and can cause “external injuries” and “internal damage”, it is pointed out in the recall sheet.
The Dangerous Products Alert site asks consumers “not to use the product once more” and to “return it to the point of sale”.
