While some are yearning for a new Mario Kart game, the competition is taking the lead. It is therefore on the hats of wheels that Disney Speedstorm hopes to take the lead thanks to its free-to-play model deployed on a whole host of media which benefit, in addition to that, from a cross-play functionality. During the event held by Epic Games, the Mario Kart-like unveiled a new circuit!

Disney mascots want to knock Mario off the podium
It was during the Nintendo Direct last February that Gameloft formalized the arrival of its competitor from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and we can say that the title was damn cheeky to make such a revelation during the event of the Japanese firm which is responsible for developing its direct competitor. However, it was only two months later that the title unveiled its exit window.
In short, all this to say that between the announcement and the first contacts with the game, we did not have to wait long. Moreover, the game has just celebrated an encouraging first step since we announced the good newsnamely the establishment of a closed beta, not even two days ago. Now that the title is squealing its tires on the track, all that remains is to climb the laps and for that, nothing better than a little content before the real launch!
A retro track that offers a good dose of nostalgia
Announced at the last minute, and in parallel with the announcements of the American SVOD giant, Netflix, with its Geeked Week, the small Epic Games conference still allowed us to make some delightful discoveriesespecially around Disney Speedstrom whose free-to-play formula should convince a large number of players when it is officially released.
Barely launched, the one who intends to take the suction behind Mario Kart in the hope of overtaking him has formalized a new track which comes to decorate the closed beta of the game. The famous race in question? “The Silver Screen”, a circuit that reminds us of the days of Disney’s black and white cartoonslike the iconic Steambot Willie, which you can discover at the top of the article!
About the Summer Game Fest
What is Summer Game Fest?
No E3 this year, but we can still count on another world-class event: the Summer Game Fest, a big show dedicated to announcements of video games to come this year or the following years. It was in 2020 that journalist and host Geoff Keighley launched this now unmissable festival for the first time. Last year, the show featured stunning images from Elden Ring; so inevitably, the third iteration raises high expectations.
When does Summer Game Fest 2022 start?
The Summer Game Fest is this Thursday, June 9 at 8 p.m. The show will once once more be followed by a Day of the Devs session devoted to the independent scene.
How to follow the Summer Game Fest 2022?
On JV, we will react live to announcements from the LeStream channel alongside Maxildan and Aymeric Lallée in particular. The show will also be directly visible as a teaser on JV’s homepage. And for those who prefer reading, you will of course find our news throughout the conference. A written summary will also be available
What is the program for Summer Game Fest 2022?
Among the games not to miss, there is in particular the heir to Dead Space, The Callisto Protocol, which shows us its first gameplay images. For its part Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 presents us with its first level. Also on the program: Gotham Knights, Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course, the first game from Aaryn Flynn’s studio (ex-Bioware) Nightingale, the JRPG One Piece Odyssey, the free-to-play Warframe or even Planet of Lana. Geoff Keighley further announced: “We have a few new game announcements for this show and hopefully a few surprises if all goes well. But it’s definitely a show that mostly focuses on things that are foretold.”
