Labor IFE, Minimum Wage and Guaranteed Minimum Income today | Latest news, amounts and payment dates, June 10

This past Wednesday, the National Institute of Statistics (INE) released a new figure regarding the rise in the cost of living in the country. Inflation was 1.2% in the month of May and, with this, in the last 12 months it reached 11.5%. This has not happened since 1994 and is the highest annual figure for the last 28 years.

Undoubtedly, the adverse economic contingency is one of the major problems facing the population in the country. For this reason, one of the first actions of the Government consisted of the implementation of the Chile Supports 2022 aid plan, whose axes are the Labor Emergency Family Income (IFE Laboral), the increase in the Minimum Wage and the Guaranteed Minimum Income.

Labor IFE

The purpose of this aid is to encourage the creation of new jobs in the country. For the same reason, the contribution is oriented so that workers are formally employed in the national territory.

Those who apply to the Labor IFE until July 31, 2022 They will be entitled to receive up to three months of pay. The requirement for this is that they remain employed.

For their part, people who are beneficiaries between August and September 2022 will have the right to receive up to two and one month of payment, respectively. In these cases, they must also keep working and comply with the requirements of the State contribution.

Minimum wage in Chile

One of the latest developments is the increase in Minimum wageproject of the Executive that expects to reach a salary of $500 thousand for each worker.

This measure will be implemented through two phases. The first goal was achieved Sunday May 1, since the amount rose from $350 thousand to $370 thousand pesos. While the second rise would take place during the month of August, when it is expected to reach $400.000.

Guaranteed Minimum Income

The contribution of the State allows to increase the income of the workers in such a way as to guarantee a minimum net salary of $340.817.

To access this social help, the following requirements must be met:

– Being a dependent worker.

– Have a contract subscribed to the Labor Code.

– Have a gross salary less than $452.477.

– Have a contract with an ordinary working day of more than 30 and up to 45 hours per week.

– Qualify within the section of the 90% of the Social Registry of Homes (RSH).
