Data from the Statistics Office in Finland showed, on Friday, that the country’s current account deficit increased sharply in April.
The current account deficit rose to 2.29 billion euros (2.43 billion dollars) in April, compared to 1.22 billion euros in March.
The deficit, compared to the same month last year, amounted to 614 million euros.
The deficit in the goods account in the balance of payments was 200 million euros. The services account also recorded a deficit.
The deficit in the primary income account was 1.5 billion euros, while the secondary income account was 200 million euros.
