It is the iPhone 14 Max and 14 Pro Max that would be impacted by this delay.
Obviously, Apple is having serious problems with its Chinese supply chains. If, on the one hand, the health situation seems to be slowly improving in the Middle Kingdom, Apple continues on the other hand to impose a very high supply rate on its suppliers. So much so that some would simply be unable to follow.
According to a tweet from analyst Ross Young, the supplier of 6.7″ screens for the iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max would be significantly behind schedule. “It seems that shipments of screens for the iPhone 14 Max and Pro Max are a month behind the 14 and 14 Pro”he says. “Screen shipments for the larger models begin in July, compared to June for the smaller models. We don’t expect any launch delays at this point.”
If he does not expect a delayed launch, Apple is facing the same problem as with the iPhone 13, nine months ago. As a reminder, the iPhone 13 Max and 13 Pro Max were only delivered to customers following several weeks. Let’s hope that Apple quickly finds a solution to this serious problem…
