Shots fired at a Boucherville residence

The rise in gun violence in the greater Montreal area continued Thursday, with a series of gunshots on a residential street in Boucherville.

The explosions were heard around 9:40 p.m. on Wilfrid-Pelletier Street.

“At least one bullet hole was noticed on a residence in the area,” said spokesperson for the Longueuil agglomeration police department (SPAL), Jean-Pierre Voutsinos.

The scene was protected by a security perimeter to allow investigators and a forensic identification technician to analyze it, in an attempt to better understand the circumstances of this shooting.
