Regarding President Yoon Seok-yeol’s remarks this morning regarding Park Soon-ae’s education minister candidate’s drunk driving history, the presidential office clarified that “it means to look into all the details.”

An official from the presidential office opened a briefing and said, “When I hear it, it means that I need to take a deep look into various matters.”

Earlier today, President Yoon said, “I’m not going to talk only regarding drunk driving itself,” when asked by reporters regarding the controversy over drunk driving by Park Soon-ae, the education minister candidate.

Then, he said, “When did you drink and drive, and why shouldn’t you consider everything such as various circumstances, criminality, and morality?” as if defending drunk driving.

When asked if the president is properly aware of the allegations, such as the blood alcohol level of candidate Park, the official said, “There are enough reports on the relevant information.”

However, to the question, ‘As a candidate for the Minister of Education, what kind of things do you look into when it comes to drunk driving?’
