three airlines announce to cancel hundreds of flights in July

Lufthansa cancels 900 intra-European flights from or to Munich and Frankfurt airports. These are flights scheduled for Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, which represent approximately 5% of the supply initially scheduled for the month. Several hundred flights will also be canceled at Eurowings, the passengers concerned will be offered alternatives.

On the side of Swiss Air Lines, also a subsidiary of the Lufthansa group, it had already been announced on Tuesday that a series of flights, especially intra-European, would be canceled in the coming weeks for the same reasons.

Brussels Airlines also announced on Wednesday that it had to cancel 148 flights this summer, “to reduce the summer workload” while the company claims not to be faced with a lack of staff.
