Incredible after the chaos at the Stade de France: the CCTV images were “destroyed”

Fights, counterfeit tickets, thefts, assaults and clashes with the police: the disastrous organization of the most important footballing event of the season is causing controversy on the other side of the border.

Several stakeholders were questioned on this subject today in the Senate. During his hearing, Erwan Le Prévost, the director of institutional affairs for the French Football Federation (FFF), thus expressed a statement that was surprising to say the least, as reported by RMC: “The images are available for seven days. They are then automatically destroyed”, he says, “We should have had a requisition to provide them to the different populations. Having been at the security headquarters all day, the images are extremely violent”, he adds.

Earlier in the day, the prefect of police of Paris Didier Lallement admitted that the police management had been “obviously a failure”: “It’s a wound for me”, he conceded.
