Digital health: the Montana Group joins forces with MEDADOM to respond to medical desertification

Facilitate access to care and allow residents to consult a general practitioner quickly? This is the objective of the partnership between MEDADOM, a major player in telemedicine in France, and the Montana Group in order to improve the quality of life of its residents and to fight once morest medical desertification.

Offer the teleconsultation service in its residences

Faced with the shortage of doctors, the Montana Group wishes to offer the MEDADOM teleconsultation service through a pilot project within its service residences in Angoulême and Cholet. Thanks to a teleconsultation terminal that will be installed in these two residences, 90% of diagnoses can be made using 6 medical devices:

  • stethoscope,
  • dermatoscope,
  • blood pressure monitor,
  • otoscope,
  • oximeter,
  • and thermometer.

These devices will allow residents to make an appointment with a GP whenever they want, without advancing teleconsultation costs since the consultations are covered by Social Security. They will also be able to receive a prescription if they wish.

Access to care for all is a priority for MEDADOM, our positive approach to aging well is fully in line with the Montana Group’s approach. Our partnership takes on its full meaning by equipping senior residences with our teleconsultation terminals. A quality service is made available to residents so that they take care of their health.

A service available to residents

The Montana Group and MEDADOM wish to make this service available to the inhabitants of the surrounding areain particular thanks to the service residence Montana Cholet which is located in the heart of the city.

This partnership will be a real step forward in responding to the problem of medical deserts. Everyone will have the opportunity to benefit from a qualitative and easily accessible medical follow-up, respecting the course of care.

To guarantee the success of the project and quality medical follow-up, we are considering a solution that is not limited to a simple technological tool. We actually choose to set up a turnkey service operated by MEDADOM, which provides a project manager whose mission will be to support change management. We will thus guarantee a strong medical impact.
