It has now become a habit to discover the evolutions of Tesla models on Elon Musk’s Twitter account between two memes more or less foggy. The billionaire’s latest announcement is for FSD, Full Self Driving, which means fully autonomous driving. Attention however, even if certain owners seem to be convinced of it, it is not, entirely autonomous, since it is a version beta, therefore not definitive, precisely the 10.12.2. This is only being implemented bit by bit and will be implemented this time for 100,000 additional vehicles according to Musk.

He took the opportunity to announce the content of the 10.13 update: smoother passages through intersections, especially in long left turns and the start of road management without any map data, as the system already does. in places where there is no GPS signal such as underground parking and where navigation is replaced by inertia measurement, wheel movement and cameras.
Obviously, this version of the FSD like the previous ones still does not concern Europe where it remains prohibited, but Musk hopes one day to succeed in having it authorized on the Old Continent.

10.13 smooths out intersection control, especially long lefts, and starts to handle roads with no map data at all.
Last point is a big deal. Within a few months, FSD should be able to drive to a GPS point with zero map data.
