A free HIV screening day in the Var this Friday

Biogroup laboratories support the “Fêtelamour” prevention week organized by the AIDES Association from June 10 to 20, by offering Friday June 10 a day of awareness of HIV testing during which it will be possible to be tested, free of charge, without a prescription. .

“We receive 100,000 people in our laboratories every day. We have decided to take part in this prevention action to contribute to the zero AIDS goal by 2030 supported by the AIDES association, says Laurent Kbaier, medical biologist in charge of communication. This is important because 58% of adults have never been tested. Young people test themselves less and less. For most people, a risky sexual relationship is extramarital, homosexual or with a population considered to be at risk. However, a risky relationship is simply an unprotected relationship with a person whose HIV status is unknown. Some couples give up protecting themselves without ever having had a test.

It is therefore important to remember that since January 1, it is possible to be tested in the laboratory, without a prescription and free of charge, the examination being covered by Social Security. A measure that facilitates screening but still needs to be known!
