Yesterday, Xiaomi China’s official website launched a new Xiaomi TV box: Xiaomi Box 4S MAX and officially launched for sale, priced at 499 yuan, regarding NT$2,300.
Xiaomi Mi Box 4S MAX is positioned as a 4K flagship smart voice set-top box, and is the flagship style of the fourth-generation Mi Box. In terms of specifications, the processor is equipped with Amlogic S905X3, 64-bit quad-core.
The previous top model of the Mi Box was the Mi Box 4S Pro, which was priced at RMB 379, or regarding NT$1,700.
The biggest difference between the two is in storage specifications. The Mi Box 4S Pro is a 2G+16G storage combination, while the Mi Box 4S MAX is upgraded to a 4G+64G storage combination.
In addition, the specifications and functions are similar. The Xiaomi Mi Box 4S MAX adopts HDMI 2.1 interface, supports 4K/8K image quality output and dynamic HDR, 8K hard decoding, supports Dolby & DTS sound effects, dual-band Wi-Fi, and can be wirelessly projected screen etc.
Considering that the Xiaomi Mi Box 4S Pro was released in November 2020, it took more than a year for the Xiaomi Mi Box to release a new product, but it was only the 4S MAX. It seems that the TV box market is gradually declining. However, considering that the Mi Box 4S MAX has been upgraded to a 4G+64G storage combination, it is still very attractive for TV boxes, and it is also a product worth considering if you are looking to replace the old TV boxes.
