Russia announces permanent ban on entry of 61 more U.S. citizens

Xinhua News Agency, Moscow, June 6 (Reporter Liu Kai) The Russian Foreign Ministry issued a statement on its website on the 6th, announcing the expansion of the list of U.S. citizens permanently banned from entering the country, including U.S. Energy Secretary Granholm and Treasury Secretary Yellen. 61 people were added to it.

The statement said that, as a response to the expanding U.S. sanctions once morest Russian political and public figures and business people, 61 leaders, mainly from major U.S. military-industrial enterprises, media, rating agencies, aircraft and shipbuilding companies, and individual U.S. State Department officials were assigned. On May 21, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs published a list of U.S. citizens permanently banned from entering the country on its website, with a total of 963 people, including U.S. President Biden.
