You can schedule automatic shutdown in Windows 11/10 using Command Prompt by following these steps:
- Launch command prompt
- Enter the command and run
- Close shutdown message
- Abort stop.
This basic step requires a CMD window. Just type cmd in Execute command (Win + R) or Search bar and press Enter.
After opening the CMD window, type and run the following command:
Shutdown -s -t yyyy
Replace yyyy with numbers like 500 or 3600 or whatever. Here, yyyy is in seconds. So if you entered 60, it just means 60 seconds or 1 minute.
You will now see a message that Windows will shut down at the time you set. You can close this message.
You should repeat the above steps each time you need to schedule an automatic shutdown for the next time.

Canceling a scheduled automatic shutdown
You can also cancel a scheduled shutdown. If a shutdown is already scheduled, you cannot add another shutdown timer. In this case, you must cancel the scheduled shutdown.
To cancel or abort the shutdown, simply run this command:
Shutdown -a
