The Chilean trans activist Camila Boloco was found lifeless on June 3 in her apartment in Mexico City, following several days had passed since she was murdered.
The case was reported by the Chilean Corporation of Trans People, Amanda Jofrewho through a publication on his social networks regretted the fact.
“With great pain and indignation, we inform the community of the trans-homicide of Camila Bolocco, an activist of our union, who was currently living in Mexico,” the publication reads.
“She was found lifeless several days following her death in horrible conditions. The case is being investigated, so we cannot provide more information. We send a big hug to her family and friends. Enough of trans homicides“, concluded the entity.
According to local media reports, investigations point to the woman’s partner as main suspect of the crime: a Mexican citizen of Chinese descent who has not been found so far.
Meanwhile, the young woman’s family is in contact with the Foreign Ministry authorities to repatriate her remains and collaborate with the proceedings that arise during the investigation of her murder.
