Cherthala: A couple has been arrested in a case of trapping a young man in a honeytrap and extorting money. The Mararikulam police arrested Suneesh (31) and his wife Sethulakshmi (28) from Devaswamveli house, Pollethe, Mararikulam South panchayat. They caught an expatriate youth from Thodupuzha in a honeytrap.
Sethulakshmi Suneesh, who met the young man through Facebook, called the young man to his rented house in Kanichukulangara. After filming the scenes with Sethulakshmi on his phone, he showed it to her, threatened her and beat her up and confiscated her ATM card, Aadhar card and driving license. It is alleged that he then took the secret number of the ATM card and stole the money by threatening.
