Four of the five captured for the crime of the Paraguayan prosecutor Marcelo Pecci accepted the charges on Monday at the hearing held in the bunker of the Attorney General’s Office, in Cartagena, before the 12th Criminal Judge with the function of Control of Guarantees.
Eiverson Adrián Zabaleta, Cristian Camilo Monsalve, Marisol Londoño (Colombians) and Wendel Scott Carrillo (Venezuelan), accepted their responsibility for the crimes charged: aggravated homicide in heterogeneous contest with aggravated manufacture, carrying or possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition. For his part, Francisco Correa Galeano pleaded not guilty.
SEMANA learned that at least three of the four involved who accepted the charges are going to collaborate with the justice system. It remains to be determined whether it will be through a pre-agreement or an opportunity principle.
As soon as the hearing is over, the five detainees will be transferred to Bogotá because there are few security guarantees in Cartagena.
The Prosecutor’s Office accused the 31-year-old Venezuelan citizen as the perpetrator of the crime, Since the It would be the person who shot several times on May 10, on the island of Barú, once morest the prosecutor who was investigating extensive allegations of drug trafficking in Paraguay.

Finally, Cristián Camilo Monsalve and Marisol Londoño, his mother, would be in charge of monitoring Marcelo Pecci. According to the accusing body, the latter would have stayed in the same hotel where the victim was with his partner and the purpose was to follow in their footsteps during their honeymoon.
Apparently, the Monsalve Londoño family would have reserved a room for two nights in the hotel establishment through a travel agency that charged them 2,700,000 pesos.

Strong evidence in the hands of the authorities allowed the investigation to move forward to capture the alleged murderers of prosecutor Marcelo Pecci.

In the video you can see how the prosecutor falls, and the hit man, amid screams and confusion from the people, runs back to the sea, where his accomplice was waiting for him.
The couple’s cell phones have also been key in the investigation. Images of the group of bell ringers were found. They are four people who appear in videos and photographs in different streets, restaurants and places they visited in La Heroica.
In Paraguay, the search for those who ordered the murder is also progressing. Hugo Volpe, prosecutor and former partner of Pecci, follows the trail of an organization made up of people of Lebanese origin who allegedly participated in the criminal plan. Even in this country the extradition of one of its main leaders, Kassem Mohamad Hijazi, has already been signed.
