The British Ministry of Defense announced that the United Kingdom will provide Ukraine with missile launchers with a range of up to 80 km to counter the Russian invasion, stressing that the M270 MLRS will “significantly increase the capabilities of Ukrainian forces.”
This decision was taken “in close coordination” with the United States, which announced last week that the new aid package it will send to Ukraine to counter the Russian invasion includes, in particular, HIMARS missile launchers.
Russian President Vladimir Putin warned Sunday that Moscow would target new sites if the West delivered long-range missiles to Ukraine.
Russian news agencies quoted Putin as saying that if missiles were delivered to Ukraine, “we will draw the appropriate conclusions and use our weapons … to hit sites we have not yet targeted,” without specifying which targets he was talking regarding.
