a young woman very seriously injured by a sexagenarian with a hunting weapon

The young people had gathered in the square – the garden of French remembrance – which adjoins the Ladhof stadium. A man who was opposite, at 3 bis rue du Ladhof, would have been bothered by the noise. He grabbed his hunting weapon and went out to shoot, hitting a 22-year-old woman in the stomach.

Very seriously injured, she was taken to hospital in an emergency. The 60-year-old was then taken to task and beaten up. He was taken to the hospital from which he was quickly released to be taken into custody for attempted homicide.

It is a family, of which several members are soldiers, which had met for a birthday: some live in Colmar, others Rennes, Belfort, Meyenheim. The victim is a soldier from the Chadian marching regiment (RMT) of Meyenheim.

About 20 young people, most in their twenties, were there, including a pregnant woman and a child in a stroller.

According to a relative of the victim, the alleged shooter asked them to make less noise and lower the volume of the music, so they backed up to the back of the park.
The man would then come down with his hunting weapon, pointed at the group. He would have continued to approach. Several of the young men would have tried to take away his weapon, and the shot would have gone off.
The police then arrived on the scene, the police station being located just a few meters away, at 2 rue de la Cavalerie.
