Channel reported “NDTV” Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ruling party has issued orders to suspend the work of the party’s spokeswoman, Nupur Sharma, pending the results of the investigation, and to expel Naveen Kumar Jindal, who is in charge of the party’s media unit.
The party’s decision followed a statement, in which it said it “strongly condemns the insult of any religious figure” regardless of the religion to which they belong. The statement added that “the BJP strongly opposes any ideology that insults or degrades any sect or religion.”
