Dr Fodé Oussou Fofana is very angry with the political leaders who created the Forum for a Peaceful Transition (FTA). A political platform launched last Thursday by Lansana Kouyaté, Dr Faya Millimouno, Dr Ousmane Kaba, and several other supporters of the CNRD. The vice-president of the UFDG (Union of Democratic Forces of Guinea) denounces political actors “without ambitions, who want to mislead Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya”. He said so during the weekly general assembly of the party led by Cellou Dalein Diallo, this Saturday June 4, 2022.
“There are Guineans whose role is to mislead the chiefs. You remember the support movements we created in 2009: Dadis must stay, Dadis must show up, Dadis must do this, Dadis must do. They created several support movements for Dadis. The result is known: it’s September 28, and you know the rest. Even today, the same people are creating movements to support and defend the transition. The same people are misleading the colonel (Mamadi Doumbouya), who was in good faith, into error. What they have in Dadis, they are doing the same thing. Otherwise,
“You cannot imagine that leaders of political parties, who want to be presidents in this country, meet to create the opposition of the opposition. Logically, today, there is no opposition, there is no movement. But they have become the movement, and they consider that we are becoming the opposition. They want the transition to be smooth, so we don’t want the transition to be smooth. They agree with everything the Colonel does. Even if the colonel does not organize the elections, they agree. Instead of talking regarding a forum, they should have called it the “Colonel Doumbouya must stay” movement.
Because they know that if the election is organized here, they have no possibility of being president in this country, Colonel Doumbouya must try to eliminate some, to liquidate some. Because if we don’t eliminate Cellou Dalein and Sidya Touré, they will never be presidents, because they are incapable even of mobilizing 900 people at the level of their seats”, declared this senior official of the UFDG, adding that he is ready to meet Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya to make him understand that these political leaders do not like him.
“We say that these people are not helping Colonel Doumbouya. I say it sincerely, if Colonel Doumbouya wishes, I am ready to meet him as vice-president of the UFDG, he puts these people next to him, arguments once morest arguments, I will demonstrate by A+B that these people have no ambitions. What they want is to mislead Colonel Doumbouya. If he’s ready, I’m ready to meet him and tell him the truth to his face. And these are the same ones that we saw in the offices of the leaders to even ask for the guarantee of their party.
They are the same ones that we met in the flowers of Sékhoutouréya. They are the same people who were there trying to mislead President Alpha Condé. They want to provoke us? We tell them here clearly that we are ready, because they don’t like Guinea better than us… When an individual has the courage to come out and create a movement in defense of the transition, in a normal country, we must take him, tie him up and send him to prison, because he puts the country in danger”, said Dr Fodé Oussou Fofana.
