In training, before playing Game 2 of the final on Sunday, the Celtics players wore a T-shirt with the message “We are BG” (“We are BG”) on the front, in reference to the initials of the American player and, on the back, the reproduction of a QR Code which refers to a petition addressed to the White House for the release of Griner.

« The jerseys were very important, not only to show our support for our sister […]but also to show the unity and love we have across the NBA and WNBAsaid Grant Williams, the strong end of Boston. We hope to bring back (Brittney Griner) in the United States and allow her to reunite with her family, do what she loves and bring the love and tenacity with which she always plays on the field. »
