Alpine skiing: Henrik Kristoffersen joins the ski brand created by Marcel Hirscher

The Norwegian Henrik Kristoffersen, world N.3 in alpine skiing, announced on Saturday that he was joining the ski brand “Van Deer”, recently created by his former rival, the Austrian legend Marcel Hirscher.

Photo of the two champions side by side in support, Kristoffersen formalized on his social networks his change of ski brand in favor of Van Deer, who is attracting his first great champion there, and will therefore make a remarkable debut in the Coupe du alpine skiing world.

Kristoffersen (27), giant world champion in 2019, double Olympic medalist and 28-time World Cup winner, therefore joins the stable of his former “executioner”: in 2016 and 2018, the Norwegian was beaten only by Hirscher for the big crystal globe, while the 2 skiers fought intense battles in the slalom.

“Kristo” thus leaves the French brand Rossignol, which has equipped it since its inception.

Retired since 2019, the Austrian Marcel Hirscher, eight-time winner of the big globe (a record), made a remarkable entry with Van Deer into the conservative world of ski manufacturers.
