The Lebanese Army Command mourned the martyr Corporal Zine El Abidine Shamas, during a force, including a raid operation, in the Al-Sharwana area in Baalbek, in search of wanted persons, and was able to arrest a number of them.
The Army Orientation Directorate issued a statement saying:
On 3/6/2022, during a raid carried out by a patrol of the Intelligence Directorate of the house of the most wanted drug dealer (A.Z), nicknamed Abu Basla in the Al-Sharawneh area – Baalbek, the wanted man, along with others, opened fire at the patrol members, which led to the death of Corporal Zain Al-Abidin Shams and wounding five. Immediately, the army units deployed in the area intervened and raided the homes of the shooters and arrested both of the wanted persons: (A.Z), (A.M), (A.Z), (M, F), (M.). F), and seized a quantity of military weapons and ammunition belonging to them, a quantity of drugs and a number of machines used in their manufacture.
The seizures were handed over and investigations with the detainees were launched under the supervision of the competent judiciary.

The Army Command – Directorate of Guidance mourns the martyr Corporal Zine El Abidine Shamas, who was martyred on 3/6/2022 following being shot at while carrying out a raid mission in the Al-Sharawneh area – Baalbek.

He was born on January 24, 1994 in Baalbek.
He volunteered in the army on 01/24/2012.
He was awarded several medals, and the General Commander of the Army commended and congratulated him several times.

The body will be transferred on June 4, 2022 at 11:00 from Al-Abdullah Hospital – Rayak to his town of Bouday – Al-Hafir neighborhood – Baalbek, where the funeral will be held on the same date at 16:00, and the burial will be in the cemetery of the town.
