WhatsApp has rolled out a new feature for beta users of its desktop version that allows them to filter their conversations and only show those with new, unread messages.

This feature has been available for some time in WhatsApp Businessa tool for companies that aims to facilitate communication with their customers, both in its desktop version and in the mobile application.

The specialized portal WABetaInfo now advances its arrival to version 2.2221.0 of the beta of WhatsApp for the desktop and, therefore, to the standard accounts of the application.

This new feature allows users to apply a search filter that only displays chats or conversations whose messages have not yet been read.

It is not yet known if WhatsApp plans to add new search criteria. to filter the results in its application. For now, the outlet notes that this new feature will also make its way to beta versions of Android and iOS.

NEW FEATURE TO ACCESS SURVEY RESULTS

WhatsApp is also developing a new feature for group polls, which the app has been working on since last March. At the time, WABetaInfo announced that the app was working on group polls for iOS. In April, WhatsApp continued the development of a new interface for these, and now to implement the possibility of accessing the results.

Media have had access to Beta 22.12.0.73 for iOS available through the TestFlight program. In this version, WhatsApp allows all participants in a group to see the results of a poll.

The most voted option is displayed highlighted at the top of the page and under the name “Top Option”. The rest, appears in descending order of votes. All options are accompanied by the number of votes and their percentage of the total.

A NEW FEATURE COMING TO WINDOWS

Another of the new features WhatsApp is working on is rolling out in its beta version for Windows. More precisely, in its “application” for the universal windows platform (UWP). This is the ability to send temporary photos and videos that self-destruct once viewed.

According to the portal, the feature was made available to Windows beta participants with beta build 2.2221.4.0. Also, the feature came with the ability to send voice notes, which was not yet present on this platform.
