Nadal enters French Open final on 36th birthday; Swarev recovers from injury French Open Tennis Men’s Singles Final

Prince of Clay Court is one step ahead of Spanish star Rafael Nadal to claim the record for the 22nd Grand Slam title in Paris. Nadal secures final berth in the men’s singles final of the French Open following Germany’s Alexander Swarev withdrew due to injury. The score was 7–6, 6–6.

Nadal enters the final on his 36th birthday. Swarev injured his leg during the second set. Swarovski left the court in a wheelchair. Shortly followingwards, the player returned to the court with the help of Crutches to greet the crowd. Nadal’s opponent in Sunday’s final is the second semi – final winner between Croatia’s Marin Cilic and Norway’s Caspar Rudd.

This is Nadal’s seventh victory in the 10th encounter once morest third seed Alexander Swarovski. However, Swarovski, who has won three of his last four previous matches, did not have that record at Rollang Garos. Earlier in the day, Nadal reached the semifinals following knocking down Novak Djokovic in the quarterfinals. Nadal won the four-set bout 6-2, 4-6, 6-2, 7-6 (4).
