Julia Grandoni (@jugrandoni) resides in the city of Quebec (Canada) and is giving something to talk regarding for a video viral which has already racked up 13 million views. The protagonist of this history revealed her face without makeup and, immediately, it became a trend. It even provoked a heated debate in the social networks.

It all started when Grandoni decided to join a ‘challenge’ of TikTokso she shared a photo of her wearing makeup and wearing a beautiful black dress for a night out.

Seconds later, she made a comparison: she joined it with a recording of herself naturally lying in bed and pronouncing the lyrics of the song “Girl That’s Not Me” (“Girl that is not me” in Spanish) laughing from an unflattering angle.

Right away, the clip @jugrandon divided opinions, according to New York Post. “I will never date once more”wrote one user. While other women identified with the Canadian and supported her initiative. “I love that you show your face without makeup! We need to normalize that what is natural is also beautiful”, noted a netizen.

In the midst of the commotion that her recording unleashed, Julia confessed that she uploaded this publication so I can show people that I’m comfortable in my own skin (…) To show them that I don’t need makeup, it’s important to show others that they should be comfortable in their own skin.”

In dialogue with NeedToKnow.online, Grandoni also argued that “The angle I used at the end of my video was totally exaggerated and it was to perceive that I am ugly in general, but other than that, it is not difficult for me to look the way I usually do, I usually never wear makeup”.
