SEGA’s new mini-remake console product “Mega Drive Mini 2” debuts in October and includes the first Mega-CD game

SEGA announced today (6/3) in the “SEGA New Project Announcement Live Broadcast (セガ新プロジェクトェクト発 Watching Broadcast)” that it will launch a mini replica of the 16-bit host “Mega Drive” revision model “Mega Drive 2” on October 27 Version “Mega Drive Mini 2”.

“Mega Drive Mini 2” is the successor to the mini-replica console “Mega Drive Mini” launched in September 2019. It fully reproduces the shape of the modified version of Mega Drive “Mega Drive 2” in a reduced size. It is scheduled to include 50 models. Games from the Mega Drive and its first-ever addition to the Mega-CD, paired with a 6-button controller for fighting games, allow players to relive the fun of classic games in the latest audiovisual environment.

“Mega Drive Mini 2” is scheduled to be launched on October 27, with a tax-free price of 9,980 yen. In addition, the MD Mini 2 host decoration kit “Mega Drive Tower Mini 2” is also scheduled to be launched simultaneously, including the Mega-CD 2 expansion kit, “Mega Drive Tower Mini 2”VR racing“Cassette, “Sonic CD“Discs and other accessories, 4,500 yen before tax. The 6-button controller “Fighting Pad 6B” will also be sold once more for 2,500 yen without tax.
