Frank Vandenbroucke made these remarks this Thursday evening in the program “Le rendez-vous” broadcast on Canvas. In fact, he expects a new wave of coronavirus to arrive. “The virus is not gone. A new wave may not have serious consequences, but we may also have to deal with a variant that will make you sicker once more or be very contagious once more” , he explained.
The Minister stresses that everything is in preparation for a new vaccination campaign for the general population, possibly following the summer. Nothing is decided yet, but various scenarios are in preparation. The purchase of new vaccines is also envisaged.
