The field of disability, and more particularly the homes of the Medico-Social Office (OMP), Mancy in the lead, have been under the spotlight for months. However, following having exchanged with various professionals, it is the whole social sector which today seems to present an explosive cocktail.
Blame it on the austerity plans which, combined with the increase in the problems encountered on the ground, create real unease, believes an employee of Aigues-Vertes: “Many colleagues are suffering and no longer find meaning in the work that drives them. The Geneva social boat is very sick. A PPE worker for over twenty years speaks of “a Titanic which navigates more and more by sight because of a lack of managerial anticipation”.
