Johnny Depp trial: disaster for Amber Heard, she must find 8 million dollars

Johnny Depp may have flagged a little too soon following the announcement of the verdict of the court of Fairfax which gave him right on the whole line when he accused Amber Heard of defamation in his column of the Washington Post. The actress’ lawyerAquamanElaine Bredehoft, has just announced that her client “definitely wanted to appeal the decision rendered by the jury in Virginia.“She has excellent reasons for it”she added, before attacking social networks and the legal process: “She was demonized there. A number of things were allowed in this court that should not have been allowed, and it confused the jury. We weren’t allowed to tell them regarding the British judgement.”

As to whether her client had the means to pay the fine of 15 million imposed on her, the lawyer was clear: “Oh no, absolutely not.” According to the American press, Amber Heard has already squandered $6 million in legal costs, and should find the trifle of $8 million to pay the fine imposed on her. Far from having enjoyed the same success as Johnny Depp in the cinema, his biggest fee was $2 million, for Aquaman.

It is easy to understand his desire to appeal.
