On Thursday morning there was a train collision at Zollikofen station, as several reader photos show. According to previous knowledge, a locomotive drove onto a construction train, the SBB announced via Twitter. A passenger train was not involved in the accident.
The salvage work is currently in progress. Information on how long the track cannot be used cannot be given at this time. Delays and cancellations are to be expected. The exact course and cause of the accident are being investigated by the Swiss Safety Investigation Board (Sust).
