Corona 19 is taking its place as an endemic, but viruses and fine dust still threaten our daily life.

Among these, new concept air sterilizers such as ‘Wonderray UV Air Sterilizer’ and ‘SAS (Smrt Air Safe) Smart Air Purification System’ have been released and are attracting attention.

Litgen said, “These products have been selected as a national project by the government, so it is possible to support up to 1.79 million won (50% from the government, 50% from local funds) to long-term care institutions (elderly care facilities, community homes for the elderly, day and night shelters, etc.).” He said, “It is most important for various nursing institutions, such as elderly care facilities, to maintain clean air and sterilization for the prevention of medical-related infections and a safe life. Therefore, these products are essential for nursing institutions and benefit from the national project. We expect to be able to provide a comfortable and safe environment for patients.”

This product is a UV-C lamp sterilization method that shows high sterilization power compared to low energy, destroys the DNA of microorganisms itself and does not develop resistance.

It uses a wavelength of 100 to 280 nm suitable for destroying DNA and RNA of bacteria, and has been certified by the Korea Testing Laboratory (KTL) to reduce airborne viruses and airborne bacteria by up to 99.8%.

The introduced air is purified by direct contact sterilization, and viruses, bacteria, volatile organic compounds (VOC), and fine dust are purified through the 3-step sterilization method of UV-C lamp, basic filter, and pre-filter.

A Litgen official said, “Existing air conditioning facilities and air purifiers only circulate indoor air and it is difficult to remove viruses or bacteria, so there was a disadvantage that they might act as a medium to spread infectious diseases.

However, this product is a safe air sterilization product that can remove airborne viruses and airborne bacteria in the air, a problem that cannot be solved with the technology currently applied to air purifiers.”
