Selenski commemorates killed children

At least 689 children have been harmed in nearly 100 days of Russia’s war of aggression in Ukraine, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. 243 children were killed, Zelenskyj said in his video address last night in Kyiv. At least 446 children were injured and 139 children were missing.

“And those are just the ones we know regarding.” There is no information from the areas occupied by Russian troops. “Eternal memory to those whose lives were taken by the Russian war once morest Ukraine,” said Zelenskyy. He recalled several individual fates of killed children by name.

The President of Kiev also recalled that well over 200,000 children had been brought to Russia from Ukraine. He spoke of deportation and a “vile war crime”. According to Moscow military figures, almost 1.6 million people have been brought to Russia from the contested areas of Ukraine and the pro-Russian separatist republics since February. This included almost 260,000 children.
