After the first round of the presidential electionsthe candidate of the Historical Pact received this Wednesday some support from different political sectors for his electoral campaign, including the journalist Mábel Lara.
Cordovan, in the same way, took advantage of the moment to present a new proposal to the engineer Rodolfo Hernández and invited him to form a great national agreement. Likewise, he indicated that the idea of this pact is that it be made regardless of the results of the elections.
“I would like from here, whatever the election result is on June 19, propose to the rival Rodolfo Hernández that we make a great national agreement instead of producing what has been an enemy block of the other throughout this century”, Gustavo Petro initially indicated.
Given these statements, the leader of Human Colombia insisted that the goal is to leave hatred behind and think regarding the best for the country, mainly to build reforms that help Colombians get ahead.
“I propose that the first act of government, whether it be his or mine, whether it be summoning that diversity that will be expressed in the elections to build a Colombia of consensus towards fundamental reforms that the country needsespecially to live together in peace,” he added.
Despite this new understanding and conciliatory tone, the candidate of the Historical Pact and several of his supporters have launched different attacks and taunts at the Santander businessman. Even, whenever they can, they remind him that he is accused of a corruption case.
The former mayor of Bogotá has also questioned the proposals that Hernández has presented in recent years and accused him of taking some initiatives from his government program.
“Very well that you collect the proposals of my program, you missed them Good to discuss them. The best anti-neoliberal policy is to lower credit rates on sold real estate, houses and apartments. However, the Uribista bosses are already campaigning for you”, he wrote on Twitter last Monday.

The former mayor of Bogotá pointed out that, in the event that he is not elected president of Colombia, he would be willing to leave the way open for other people to try to establish the change they have sought so much.
“In all human activity there is a political attitude. We are human for that. I will always have a conception and a way of understanding things. In electoral politics, I think I have brought the forces of society to a point where power was disputed”he initially stated.
Then he specified: “We scared those of power and corruption, but as has happened so many times in history, it was not possible. Then it will be up to other people, other generations, and to the young”.
