The turnover of Motorways of Morocco (ADM) recorded an increase of 5% in the first quarter of 2022. Thus, it is 891 million dirhams once morest 846 million dirhams at the same period of the year 2021, reports Morocco today in its June 2 edition.
“This increase is mainly explained by the 10% improvement in turnover linked to operations with the improvement in traffic on the national network”, explains ADM in its financial communication, adding that, “in the same trend , we find that in the first quarter of 2022, the corporate turnover amounted to 782 million dirhams once morest 710 million dirhams at the end of the first quarter of 2021”.
Gross investments are, for their part, down 20% compared to March 2021, thus standing at 106 million dirhams. Consolidated debts also fell (-3%): 36.94 billion dirhams recorded at the end of March 2022 once morest 38.04 billion dirhams at the end of March 2021.
The newspaper indicates that the same trend was observed for social debts with 39.26 billion dirhams in the first quarter once morest 40.04 billion dirhams in the same period last year.
In its communication, ADM also mentions the start in the first quarter of 2022 of work to widen the last two lots of the Casablanca-Berrechid motorway and the Casablanca bypass motorway (running respectively from the Sidi Maarouf interchange to the Bouskoura toll station and the Tit Mellil interchange at the Lissasfa junction), emphasizing that “this is the home stretch of a major project, carried out under heavy traffic and high demands in security, according to an ingenious phasing and using innovative techniques to minimize traffic disruption on these busiest sections of the Kingdom”.
