The German newspaper, “Bild”, said on Wednesday that Bayern Munich had reached an agreement to sign the Senegalese Sadio Mane, the Liverpool winger, whose contract expires at the end of next season.
The widespread newspaper added that the 30-year-old Mane had agreed with Bayern Munich to move to him this summer, as confirmed by journalist Dave Okop, who specializes in Liverpool news.
Journalist Ukop said Mane signed a three-year contract with Bayern Munich, although Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona are also interested. Mane spoke directly to Julian Nagelsmann. Liverpool and Bayern Munich began formal negotiations on Tuesday.
Mane will sign a contract with the Bavarian club for a period of three years, with an annual income of more than 20 million euros, but “Bild” confirmed that the negotiation between the two clubs will resolve the deal.
Bayern wants to pay 30 million euros, while Liverpool demand 50 million, but the Bavarian club can add another 10 million euros in bonuses related to performance.
Bayern hopes that Liverpool will be lenient in order to complete the deal, following its indulgence in the transfer of Spaniard Thiago Alcantara in 2020 (like Mane, the former Bayern Munich player whose contract was continuing for another year), to move smoothly to Liverpool for a reasonable amount (regarding 30 million euros).
