SEGA on Tuesday unveiled a first taste of the gameplay of Sonic Frontiersthe next blue hedgehog 3D game.

This short video showcases a portion of the vast open world that Sonic will roam around and battle enemies that are found here and there. Of course, we cannot miss the resemblance to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, both on the playability and the aesthetics of the landscape.
This preview is also the first content of several to come, which will be presented exclusively on IGN throughout the month of June.
So far, we’ve only been able to see Sonic at work in the video. However, we were also treated to a glimpse of some game mechanics and the futuristic and robotic looking enemies that we will have to face throughout our adventure.
We will therefore monitor the content that SEGA will share in the coming weeks. The output of Sonic Frontiers is planned for the end of the year, for the holidays.
