An illegal ‘host bar’ that targets only Thai women working in Korea and hires Thai men to run business has been caught.
It has been open from 4 am to midday when Thai women leave the massage parlor, and all the female customers and employees caught were unregistered Thais.
Correspondent Jeong Sang-bin reported.

Dozens of young men in white shirts wave at a bar.
There is also a video of them appearing on stage one following another and dancing to the music.
All Thai men.
These are SNS promotional videos of a ‘Host Bar’ operated for Thai women living in Korea.
The Immigration Service’s crackdown team has attacked this host bar.
Only the colorful lights twinkle, but neither the customers nor the employees are visible.
About 10 Thai people, including female customers and male employees, were hiding in a room inside the bar with the lights turned off.
“It’s okay. Sit down, sit down. Now, sit down. Turn off your cigarette…”
A crackdown took place on Sunday morning, and even during that time, Thai female customers were caught drinking with male employees.
The main customers are Thai women who work in massage parlors, so the host bar has been open from 4 am to noon.
When a female customer designates a male employee in advance through SNS and visits, the CCTV checks their identity and opens the door to avoid crackdowns.

“The CCTV was placed inside and outside the building, so I was very wary of Koreans.
Seven female customers and nine male employees were caught, all unregistered Thais staying in Korea.
The Immigration and Immigration Service plans to evict the caught Thais, while investigating the business owners who hired them illegally and hand them over to the prosecution.
